From the Penzance Youth String Orchestra website:  " Were about to premiere a new Concerto for Double Bass and Strings by Andrew Wilson who has already written several wonderful works for string orchestra. Andrew Wilson has created a characteristically attractive and energetic work fun, quirky, harmonically teasing, uplifting. Its a real virtuoso work for the bass, and its just as well that we have one of Europes most talented bassists in the group at 17 years old Ted Francis Smith became one of the youngest members of the European Union Youth Orchestra last year. Hes also our last remaining founder member of the group." (
