Pianist Stefan Warzycki gives the first performance of the Sonatina for the Left Hand at a recital at CASA CLASSICA, Orange box Buildng B1, Akasaka 3-19-9, Minato-ku, Tokyo Japan.
On June 17th, the Penzance Youth String Orchestra conducted by Tim Boulton (below), gave the first of three performances of Andrew's new Cornish Overture "Tros An Treys" Opus 153 at the Polperro Festival of Music and the Arts, which has been a feature of the Cornish Arts' scene for 17 years now. The picturesue fishing port had transformed its town square into a semi-covered auditorium and there was an appropriately festive atmosphere for this work based on the traditions of Cornish Dancing. The next opportunity to hear the work is in Penzance on Tuesday June 19th, when it will feature in this brilliant young orchestra's programme for the Golowan Festival, in St Mary's Church.

First performance of "Class Six in Space": Tavistock Festival Commission, 7.00pm, Tavistock Parish Church. Andrew conducts his fast and furious tale of space fantasy performed by the combined vocal forces of six Devon school choirs with Ian Hardy (baritone), Mary Mazur-Park (piano) and Maria Collier (double bass).
